Abstract

Fundamental conditions which a magnetic field confined in an HF-induction plasmatron must satisfy are found by an analysis of Maxwell's equations for a quasi-stationary, cylindrically symmetric electromagnetic field. These constraints may find application in the study of low temperature plasmas. The relations derived are termed the boundary relations for an HF-induction discharge.
