Coleman-Weinberg approach in distorted space-time

Abstract

The Coleman-Weinberg approach (renormalization-group improvement of the effective potential) is developed for an arbitrary renormalizable massless theory in distorted space-time. Some explicit examples are considered. It is proven that a phase transition induced by nonzero curvature may occur in an SU(5) inflationary universe.
