Conclusions

1. The technical servicing of medical apparatus in hospitals, etc., should be carried out only by specialist teams from the repair undertakings of “Medtekhnika.”

2. More complete and expert maintenance of medical apparatus of greatly varying kinds requires a new organization with new staffs for the repair depots; new posts for senior engineers and engineers must be included.

3. To improve the supply of spare parts, the production possibilities of repair workshops must be utilized for the production of very simple parts.

How quickly a highly efficient service organization for medical equipment can be developed will depend largely on how quickly these various problems can be settled.
