Conclusions
A stereometric respiratory model for conditions of electrical stimulation of the patient's diaphragm or phrenic nerves was proposed. The model allows the respiratory volume to be calculated from measurements of geometrical parameters of the patient's chest.
The model can be used for selecting optimal parameters for electrical stimulation of the diaphragm (parameters of stimulating pulses) taking into consideration both normal physiology of respiration and various pathologies of the respiratory tract.
