Conclusions

  • The effect of carbon-black content in manufacturing spinning solution on the process of Nitron-fibre spinning and on its physicomechanical properties has been examined. It has been found that exceeding the optimum carbon-black content of the solution adversely affects the stability of the spinning process and the yarn quality.

  • The effect of carbon-black content in the fibre on its brightness has been investigated. It has been shown that a decrease in carbon-black content of the fibre from 3.5 to 2.0% by wt. does not affect brightness, with a simultaneous improvement in all physicomechanical characteristics.
