Summary
Spectrometry ofcoherent opticalforwardscattering (CFS) is characterized by properties of inherent background reduction. On one hand the feature of a zeromethod reduces the source noise to its signal fraction, on the other hand the square law characteristic causes dynamic compression of the analytical effect of background. It is shown that in addition correction of background due to emission (e. g., from the furnace) as well as due to unspecific absorption can be achieved by approaches of modulation and phase sensitive detection.
