Conclusions
A comparison of theoretical and experimental data on pressure drop in the spinneret channel has been performed for a model spinneret channel and for standard spinnerets. Comparison of the experimental results with theoretical data has shown good correspondence of the integral flow characteristics, which indicates adequacy of the description of flow processes in channels of complex form within the framework of the mathematical model used.
Comparison of the results from experimental and calculated determination of inlet pressure losses in capillaries has confirmed the agreement in character of the dependence of the Bagley inlet correction on the Reynolds number. This affords a basis for considering that the calculation method models rather well the flow of liquids in a zone of unstabilized flow in spinneret channels.
