Conclusions
The suggested method for determining wear in spinning or twisting rings makes it possible to establish with adequate accuracy the magnitude of wear in any previously selected point of the ring working surface, and also the change in profile of the frictional surface of the ring in one or several sections, marked off by basis marks.
The use of the examined method is advisable in tests of new rings under various conditions, for technological control of the geometric parameters of rings during fabrication, and for determining the profile form of the working surface of rings after operations of repair restoration.
