Conclusions

The vapor pressure over solid cellulose-N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide-water systems and over liquid solutions is higher than that over the MMO·H2O solvent.

The peculiarity discovered in vapor pressure in the cellulose-N-Methylmorpholine-N-oxide-water system indicates liberation of water on melting the solvent and is a barrier to traditional thermodynamic evaluation of the polymer-solvent interaction from the vapor pressure over solutions.
