Some special features in laying down yarns on rotating cylinders of different diameters with canted axes

Conclusions

-- Calculations are given which afford the possibility of determining the optimum position of pairs of transporting cylinders with the objective of obtaining previously assigned intervals for yarn-turn lay-down.

-- A procedure has been defined for determining the critical point along the length of cylinders for transporting yarn where the interval between yarn turns becomes equal to zero.

-- Results of these calculations can be used in designing mechanisms for continuous build-up and transportation of yarn in machines for the preparation of man-made and other forms of fibre.
