Abstract
Elevated temperature deformation behaviour of alpha-beta brass was investigated by using a model system at temperatures just below the order-disorder transformation temperature (T c) of beta. Although the deformation mode at these temperatues is very similar to that at room temperature, grain boundary sliding in beta becomes an important mode of deformation at low strain rates.
