Conclusions

The reasons for the reduced extensibility of texturized Kapron carpet yarn in the lower winding layers on a package on an AFS-1000 KZh 18 machine have been analyzed.

Methods of winding yarn onto packages have been recommended which permit one to reduce scrap formation due to low yarn extensibility in the lower winding layers.
