Fabil computer system — Use of a model of fibre formation in multistrand melt spinning

  • Published:
Fibre Chemistry Aims and scope

Conclusion

A user-friendly program was created based on the theoretical principles of fibre formation during melt spinning; it allows the engineer in the chemical fibre industry to very rapidly evaluate the efficiency of certain technological measures. The examples give some idea of the kind of problem that can arise and how practical empirical experience can be strengthened by modeling.
