Conclusions
In the extraction of LMC from “Vidlon” polycaproamide granules with hot water, the basic resistance to the diffusion process is localized in the granules at a water delivery rate of about 10−3 m/sec.
The extraction kinetics at 80 or 97°C is satisfactorily described by the zonal method, if the coefficient of mass conductance is calculated using Eq. (1) from the mean concentration values of the LMC in the granules for the intervals in Table 1.
