Abstract

Methods were proposed for protecting the surface of carbon fibre materials (CFM) from oxidation. The thermooxidative stability of elastic CFM composites was investigated. It was found that aluminum and silicon oxide films on the surface of CFM increase the resistance of the materials to oxidation in air and in steam-helium mixture by 4–5 times.
