Summary

A technique of reduction mammoplasty, first described by Peixoto, has been utilized in 25 patients. Advantages include reduced scars, maintenance of lactation, and a more natural breast form. This technique depends on the skin's ability to retract (reverse expansion). It is indicated in young women with moderate hypertrophy and good quality skin.
