Abstract
Using the diffusion-controlled bimolecular reaction of quenching of pyrene fluorescence by N,N-dimethylaniline on the surface of thermally activated highly dispersed SiO2 as an example it is shown that a transient non-steady-state process is observed in the initial section of the kinetics.
