Kinetics of ice nucleation initiated by molecular crystals

Abstract

Heterogeneous nucleation of ice in the presence of a number of organic molecular crystals is characterized by effective kinetic constants. We have found a correlation between the values of the kinetic constants and the amount of absorbed water within the volume of the crystal.
