Abstract
Simulation has been used to derive all the observed relationships between the differential heat of adsorption and the degree of filling for an inhomogeneous surface bearing three types of center, for which the adsorption is described by Langmuir isotherms with differing b0; this is based solely on the adsorbate-adsorbent interaction and does not involve any additional assumptions about the interactions between the adsorbate molecules.
