Abstract
The fragmentation patterns of alkoxychlorohydrins ROCH2CH(OH)CH2Cl and their trimethylsilyl ethers under the electron impact were analyzed. It was shown that unequivocal group identification and determination of the structure of compounds in these classes is possible, and it was found that the mass spectrometric differences between alkoxychlorohydrins and hydroxy-ethers with no chlorine are greater than in the case of silylated compounds. Mass spectra of ionic series and those of the compounds studied and their Chromatographic retention indexes are given.
