Abstract
Coloring methods in graph theory are used in estimating the number of parameters to be determined in a kinetic model corresponding to a linear mechanism. The estimates are based on determining the numbers of differently colored frameworks. Examples are discussed of isomerization and an enzymatic reaction catalyzed by ammonoacyl-MRNA synthetase.
