Zur Titration von SiH-Bindungen in Polymeren

Abstract

Present titration methods for the determination of SiH-linkages have been compared with respect to their applicability to polymeric compounds. In addition, a new method has been developed, using an excess of N-bromo-succinimide as an oxidizing reagent. The unconsumed reagent has to be titrated iodometrically. This method is even applicable to samples containing aromatic solvents or aromatic substituents. The standard deviation is ± 0.08 mVal for 15 mVal of SiH/g and ± 0.003 mVal for 0.1 mVal of SiH/g. The lower limit is about 0.01 mVal/g.

Zusammenfassung

Bisher bekannte Verfahren zur ma\analytischen Bestimmung von SiH-Bindungen werden bezüglich ihrer Anwendbarkeit auf Polymere untersucht. Daneben wird eine neue Methode vorgeschlagen, bei welcher man die SiH-Verbindungen mit überschüssigem N-Bromsuccinimid umsetzt und unverbrauchtes Reagens jodometrisch zurückmi\t. Dieses Verfahren ist auch anwendbar, wenn die Probe aromatische Lösungsmittel oder Substituenten enthÄlt. Die Standardabweichung betrÄgt für 15 mVal SiH/g ± 0,08 mVal, für 0,1 mVal SiH/g ± 0,003 mVal. Die untere Grenze liegt bei etwa 0,01 mVal/g.
