Summary
Starting from the principle of virtual displacements and the principle of virtual forces resp. generalized variational equations of the statics and kinetics of thin elastic plates are established. The admissible functions which are defined in arbitrary subdomains are only required to fulfill the continuity-condition of the node-displacements. The variational principles resulting for conservative forces yield known formulations.
