Summary

In 4 uteri out of the almost 2000 examined in the course of 4 years a single small focus of a peculiar cellular growth was observed. The only recognizable structural characteristic exhibited by the tumor suggests its relationship to capillaries. The term “solid angioma” is proposed for the growth for the time being, without making any further commitment as to special forms of differentiation (i.e. pericytes, associated nerve or paraganglion structures).
