Electronic absorption spectra of 3-hydroxypyridine and 5-hydroxypyrimidine

Abstract

The electronic absorption spectra (ππ* type) of the mixture of the enolic and zwitterionic forms of both 3-hydroxypyridine and 5-hydroxypyrimidine are interpreted by means of the Pariser-Parr-Pople type calculations.
