Theoretical and Experimental Chemistry Aims and scope

Abstract

General expressions are derived for the complex scattering phases, with allowance for change in the relative velocity of the partners within the Franck-Condon region. A value is deduced for the cross section for elastic scattering with dissociative charge transfer. The scattering of K atoms by Br2 molecules is considered as an example.
