Nonadiabatic theory of electron transfer

Theoretical and Experimental Chemistry Aims and scope

Abstract

Tunneling between potential wells is considered as affected by random nonadiabatic change in the resonance condition. A general expression is derived for the transition probability on the assumption that the process involves only two states of the discrete spectrum. Detailed consideration is given to the case of an electron localized by the polarized layer it produces.
