Some aspects of the thermodynamics of very dilute nonelectrolyte solutions

Abstract

Deductions from phenomenological thermodynamics and schematic molecular-kinetic concepts are compared with experiment to explain the constancy of partial molar quantities and of the relative fugacity in the Henry region. The result is of considerable importance to purification by rectification.
