Zussammenfassung
Es wird über Versuche zur Induktion von Mammatumoren bei Wistar-und Sprague-Dawley-Ratten durch perorale Gaben von 200 mg Methylcholanthren berichtet. Sie verliefen bei beiden Tierstämmen erfolgreich, wobei an Sprague-Dawley-Ratten eine höhere Tumorausbeute erzielt werden konnte. Auch im histologischen Bild der Tumoren fanden sich gewisse Unterschiede zwischen beiden Stämmen.
Summary
Experiments are reported in which breast tumors were induced in Wistar and Sprague-Dawley rats by the oral administration of 200 mg of methylcholanthrene. The experiments were successful in both strains; more tumors could be induced, however, in the Sprague-Dawley rats. In addition, certain histological differences were found between the tumors of both strains.
