Über das Interstitium der epithelialen Geschwulstarten der Schleim- und Speicheldrüsen

Zusammenfassung

Wohlbekannt sind pathische Geschehnisse im Interstitium des sog. Speicheldrüsenmischtumors in Form schleimiger Verquellung mit und ohne Histolyse sowie in Form der Ablagerung chondrinöser Grundsubstanz. Weniger beachtet erscheint die Fibrosierung myxomatöser Geschwulsknoten und die Lieferung reichlicher argyrophiler Fasermasse mit nachträglicher Hyalinisierung, anscheinend unbeachtet das Vorkommnis eines Balkenwerkes mit eigenartigen argyrophilen, PAS-positiven und fuchselinophilen Strukturen, und das Vorkommnis spinnenförmiger und kringelförmiger Figuren sowie klobiger Coacervate.

Die Entwicklung dieser ungewöhnlichen Figuren und Strukturen erklärt sich aus der besonderen kolloidalen, an Mucopolysacchariden reichen Beschaffenheit der Grundsubstanz im Interstitium des sog. Speicheldrüsenmischtumors, und diese hinwieder aus einer induzierenden Wirkung von seiten des Geschwulstepithels auf das Interstitium.

Summary

Well-known pathologic changes occurring in the interstitium of the socalled mixed tumors of the salivary glands are the mucoid degeneration with and without histolysis, and the deposition of cartilage-like ground substance. Less attention appears to have been paid the fibrosis of myxomatous tumor nodules with the deposition of abundant argyrophilic fibrous masses and subsequent hyalinization. Unknown apparently is the occurrence of trabeculae with peculiar argyrophilic, PAS positive and fuchsinophilic structures, with spidery and circular figures and clumpy coazervates.

The development of these unusual figures and structures may be explained by the particular colloidal consistency (rich in mucopolysaccharide) of the ground substance in the interstitium of the socalled mixed tumor of the salivary glands, and by an inducing action of the neoplastic epithelium on the interstitium.
