Summary

A method is described by which infarction of segments of the liver is induced; it is well tolerated by laboratory mammals within certain limits. Application of this method for the destruction of V 2 carcinoma, implanted into rabbits' livers was followed by a prolongation of the mean survival time of the animals so treated, as compared to non treated control animals.
