Restoration of the respiration inhibited by rotenone following the addition of glucose to ehrlich ascites tumor cells

Zusammenfassung

Glucose hebt die durch Rotenon bewirkte Atmungshemmung der Ehrlich-Ascites-Tumorzellen teilweise auf. Diese durch Glucose hervorgerufene Atmung bei Anwesenheit von Rotenon wird durch Dicumarol und Antimycin A gehemmt und durch Vorbehandlung mit Fluorid nicht beeinflußt. Sie fehlt dagegen, wenn die Zellen mit Iodoacetat vorbehandelt wurden. Dieser Effect von Glucose wird erklärt durch einen Mechanismus, der einen natürlichen Elektronen-Akzeptor (wahrscheinlich vom Chinontyp) und ein Flavin-Enzym (Vitamin K-Reductase oder DT-Diaphorase) betrifft; diese vermitteln die Elektronenübertragung von dem durch Glykolyse entstandenen NADH auf die Atmungskette im Bereiche des Antimycin empfindlichen Niveaus.
