466 “reinrassige” Spürhunde, die von einer geschlossenen Kolonie stammten, wurden obduziert. Bei 17 (3,6%) wurden Tumoren gefunden: 4 Carcinome, 6 Sarkome, 4 Seminome und 17 gutartige Tumoren. 8 der malignen Tumoren hatten metastasiert, 5 von den über 3861 Tage alten Tieren mit Tumoren wiesen multiple Geschwülste auf.
Summary
466 “inbred” Beagles with known age and sex were necropsied; they came from a closed colony. 17 developed tumors (3.6%): 4 carcinomas, 6 sarcomas, 4 seminomas, and 17 benign neoplasms. 8 of the 10 malignancies exhibited metastases. Among the 6 Beagles with tumors over 3,861 days old, 5 showed multiple primary neoplasms.
