Zusammenfassung

An einem 2 Monate alten männlichen Säugling wird gezeigt, welche Schwierigkeiten die ursächliche Deutung einer Lues connata bereiten kann, wenn folgende Serokonstellation vorliegt: Mutter: Wa.R. negativ, Nelson-Test negativ. Kind: Wa.R. positiv, Nelson-Test negativ.

Unter Heranziehung neuerer Literatur und gegenseitigem Abwägen der Fakten muß man die positive Wa.R. des Kindes auf eigene Antikörperbildung, den im Alter von 3 Monaten negativen Nelson-Test auf eine ungenügende Reifung der Immobilisine (Intervalle libre) zurückführen.

Der negative Ausfall des Kontroll-Nelson-Tests bei dem 4 Monate alten Kind dürfte durch die verschleiernde Wirkung der Penicillintherapie bzw. erfolgte Ausheilung bedingt sein. Als Ursache für die mütterliche Seronegativität kommt eine erfolgreiche Penicillintherapie bei frischer, vermutlich latenter Lues in Frage.

The negative result of a controlling Nelson-test — taken from the 4 months old child — could be conditioned by the veiling effect of penicillin-therapy respectively a successful healing up. A successfull therapy with penicillin of a new, presumable covert syphilis can be discussed as the cause of the maternal sero-negativity.
