Zusammenfassung
An einer Serie von 80 menschlichen Feten von 9–35 cm SSL wurden sagittale, frontale und longitudinale Durchmesser der Wirbelkörper auf allometrisches Wachstum untersucht. Vergleichswerte für die postnatale Entwicklung wurden ermittelt. Es zeigten sich für prä- und postnatale Entwicklung statistisch gesicherte Wachstumsgradienten, die der statischen Belastung der Wirbelkörper parallel laufen. Als theoretisch bedeutsam ist festzuhalten, daß das Wachstumsprofil der fetalen Wirbelsäule bereits dem der postnatalen Entwicklung entspricht.
