Zusammefassung
Summary
It is the essential importance alkali-phosphatase has for metabolism makes it possible to employ it in diagnosis. Its importance is undoubtable for diagnosing florid rickets of mature new-borns and infants. We found a higher activity and variability of alkali-phosphatase in healthy praematures, than in mature new-borns, but there was nothing to be seen that could explain this fact. There were no significant differences in phosphatase-activity in praematures with or without a craniotabes. We found highly increased values as well as normal values in healthy praematures and in such with florid rickets. These results limit the diagnostic importance of alkaliphosphatase as an indicator for rickets of praematures.
