Kreatinphosphokinase-Aktivität im Serum bei Säuglingen und Kleinkindern

Zusammenfassung

Bei 161 Säuglingen nach der 20. Lebenswoche und bei 110 Kleinkindern im Alter von 1 bis 5 Jahren wurde die CPK im Serum untersucht. Bei den Säuglingen betrugen die CPK-Aktivitäten 1,0–8,0 E, bei den Kleinkindern lag die Streuung zwischen 0,0–2,5 E. Nach körperlicher Belastung kommt es zu einem Anstieg des Enzyms, Die Tatsache, daß auch im späteren Säuglingsalter und auch z. T. bei Kleinkindern nocheine Erhöhung der CPK zu finden ist, ohne daß Erkrankungen der Muskulatur vorliegen, sollte dem Pädiater bekannt sein, damit die erhöhte Aktivität nicht fälschlich als pathologisch betrachtet wird.

Summary

Serum creatinphosphokinase was determined in 161 sucklings and 112 children at the age of 1 to 5 years, using a method modified by Tanzer and Gilvary. The activity of CPK in sucklings was high with 1,0 to 8,0 E; the activity in children was not so high (0,0 to 2,5 E). Muscular dystrophy or heart failure were not known in any child. This advance in activity of CPK should be known to the pediater, in order that these high activities are not considered incorrectly as pathological.
