Filtration als Fehlerquelle bei der anodischen Amalgamvoltammetrie

Zusammenfassung

Die Bestimmung von Schwermetallspuren mittels der anodischen Amalgamvoltammetrie ist gestört, wenn die Analysenlösungen im Laufe der Probevorbereitung filtriert werden. Die Störung tritt nur auf, wenn die zu bestimmenden Kationen bei Potentialen oberhalb -1,05 V abgeschieden werden. Der systematische Fehler beträgt bei der Bestimmung von Zink, Blei und Cadmium unter diesen Bedingungen mehr als -50%. Die Ursache der Störungen konnte noch nicht mit Sicherheit festgestellt werden; vermutlich gehen sie von löslichen Abbauprodukten des Filtermaterials aus.

Summary

The estimation of traces of heavy metals by anodic stripping voltammetry ist strongly affected by filtration processes involved in the sample preparation. Interferences only occur when the electrolysis is carried out at potentials higher than -1,05 volts (versus Ag/AgCl electrode). Under these conditions systematic errors of about -50% or more are observed in the determination of cadmium, lead and zinc. The reason of the reported effect is not yet well known. Reducible degradation products of filter materials probably account for the interferences.
