Abstract
A preparative method for the synthesis of some 5-aminopyrimidines, which consists in the nucleophilic opening of the oxazole ring of 2,5-dimethyl-7-chloro- and 7-amino-substituted oxazole[5,4-d]pyrimidines under the influence of acids and bases, was developed.
