Hemicyanine and azahemicyanine cationic dyes containing an anthrapyridinium ring

Abstract

Green dyes were, obtained by the reaction of 2,3-dimethylanthrapyridinium methyl-sulfate with N,N-disubstituted p-aminobenzaldehydes and p-nitrosoanilines. The features of the electronic spectra of the dyes are discussed.
