Hydroamination of pyrylium salts

Abstract

Some pyrylium salts and condensed systems derived therefrom have been hydromethyl-aminated to saturated azaheterocycles and N-methylpyridinium salts. Attempts to hydroarylaminate pyrilium salts resulted in the formation of the corresponding hydrocarbons.
