Summary

Arthrobactersimplex, Serratiamarcescens, Fusarium and Mycobacterium were tested for their ability to transform phytosterol to Androsta 1, 4 diene 3, 17 dione (ADD). Arthrobactersimplex ATCC 6946 was found to be more efficient than the other species tested.
