Abstract

Condensation of cyanobenzyl bezenesulfonate with isatin N-dithiocarboxyhydrazones has given representatives of a new heterocyclic system, thiazolo[3',4'∶2,3]-1,2,4-triazino[5,6-b]indolium, which may be used for the preparation of polymethine dyes.
