Blood supply of the human tympanic membrane, a fluorescence-angiographic Study

Summary

By means of a new technique the vascular supply of the human tympanic membrane can be studied in vivo. Fluorescence-angiography enables us to follow the bloodstream through the membrane. This technique — until now a special ophthalmologic method — was modified for the use in the ENT-field. The vascular pattern and the blood supply of the tympanic membrane was described and related to clinical findings.
