Summary
The film shows the translabyrinthine exposure of the internal auditory canal in a patient, who developed sudden deafness and facial palsy within 4 days. A hemangioma was found in the supralabyrinthine portion of the facial nerve, which had to be resected over 15 mm. Immediate nerve grafting was added using fibrin seal for nerve resynthesis. A fair functional result could be obtained after 12 months, what is demonstrated.
