A procedure is described which permits to recover individual free fatty acids from relatively small areas (10 cm2) of the skin surface.

The fatty acids thus obtained are esterified quantitatively and subjected to separation by means of gas-chromatography.

Examination of different surface areas in 14 persons with healthy skin revealed regional differences in the composition of the free fatty acids.

Age and sex of the subjects studied thus far did not seem to be of any major importance.

Es wird ein Verfahren beschrieben, das erlaubt, die freien Fettsäuren aus dem Hautoberflächenfett von relativ kleinen Flächen (10 cm2) zu isolieren.

Die gewonnenen Fettsäuren werden quantitativ verestert und der gaschromatographischen Trennung unterworfen.

3.
Bei der Untersuchung, von 14 hautgesunden Personen an verschiedenen Körperstellen konnte gezeigt werden, daß regionär bedingte Unterschiede in der Zusammensetzung der freien Fettsäuren bestehen.

4.
Alter und Geschlecht der Untersuchungspersonen schienen hierbei bislang keine wesentliche Rolle zu spielen.
