Summary
The DNS-contents of epidermis-cells of the normal skin of nonpsoriatic persons and of clinically healthy skin of psoriatic persons remote from foci was immediately measured after trypsination and cytophotometrically in short-time cultures by help of the integrating microdensitometre after Deeley. The following observations were made:
-
1.
With regard to the distribution of DNS the two examined groups harmonize immediately after trypsination and during the culture.
-
2.
DNS-synthetisising cells are only traceable in the stratum basale in the clinically healthy skin of psoriatic persons and in normal skin.
-
3.
No indications were to be found for an increased synthesis of DNS in latently psoriatic skin.
