Summary
By cleavage of esters and ethers with HI the corresponding alkyl iodides are formed. A simple and fast HPLC technique has been developed, which enables the selective determination of the Cl to n-C4 esters (or ethers) by separation of the alkyl iodides. The efficiency of the method is illustrated by the example of a copolymer of methyl- and n-butyl methacrylate.
Zusammenfassung
Bei der Spaltung von Estern und Äthern mit HJ entstehen Alkyljodide. Es wird ein einfaches und schnelles HPLC-Verfahren beschrieben, das über die Bestimmung der Alkyljodide eine selektive Erfassung der Cl-bis n-C4-Ester (oder Äther) ermöglicht. Die Leistungsfähigkeit der Methode wird am Beispiel eines Copolymeren aus Methylmethacrylat und n-Butylmethacrylat aufgezeigt.
