Zusammenfassung
Elektronenmikroskopische Untersuchungen der menschlichen Mastzellen bei einem seit der Geburt an Mastocytose erkrankten, jetzt unter Behandlung mit Corticoiden stehenden einjährigen Knaben ergaben folgende Resultate:

Die Mastocytose-Mastzellen werden abgebildet und beschrieben: Im ungereizten Zustand enthalten die Mastocytose-Mastzellen keine typischen, mastzellenspezifischen Granula, d. h. keine scharf begrenzten, nach Osmiumfixierung adielektronischen Granula.

Durch einfache Reize (Unterspritzung, Kälte) kann die Zelle zur Bildung der typischen Granula provoziert werden.

Verschiedene Reize haben verschieden aussehende Granula zur Folge.

Der Degranulator 48/80 hat auf die menschliche Mastzelle einen länger anhaltenden Effekt, der sukzessiv in einem Schwellungs-, Granulierungs-, Entleerungs- und Zerfallsstadium der Zelle besteht. Der Eintritt und das Ausmaß dieses Effektes ist zeit- und konzentrationsabhängig. Der Angriffspunkt dieser Wirkung sind die mastzellenspezifischen Granula. Diese zeigen charakteristische Bilder einer Entwicklung und Reifung, die näher beschrieben und nach Möglichkeit gedeutet werden.
Inwiefern dieser Effekt als Sekretionsablauf (im Sinne von Produktion und Abgabe) zu verstehen ist, sowie die weiteren Konsequenzen unserer morphologischen Beobachtungen werden unter Berücksichtigung der Literatur diskutiert.
