Autoanalyzer-System zur qualitativen und quantitativen Bestimmung von Phosphonsäuren

Summary

For the determination of phosphonic acids a new analytical system was developed using the continuous flow analysis technique. The separation of the phosphonic acids in the samples is performed by chromatography on anionic ion-exchange resin. Then the phosphonic acids are oxidized to orthophosphate, molybdate is added and the resulting molybdenum blue is measured at 660 nm and recorded as a function of time.

The type of phosphonic acid is obtained from peak retention time, the amount from peak area integration.

The detection limit is about 1 μg with respect to the type of phosphonic acid.

The method is especially useful for serial analysis in the trace range, because it combines high sensitivity and automatic performance.

Zusammenfassung

Zur Bestimmung von Phosphonsäuren wurde ein Analysensystem entwickelt, das nach dem Prinzip der kontinuierlichen Durchflußanalyse arbeitet. Die im Probenmaterial enthaltenen Verbindungen werden zunächst durch Chromatographie an Anionenaustauscherharz aufgetrennt. Nach Oxidation zu Orthophosphat wird mit Molybdat zum blauen Farbkomplex umgesetzt und detektiert, wobei die Extinktion bei 660 nm gegen die Zeit registriert wird. Über die Retentionszeiten der Peaks erfolgt die Phosphonsäureidentifizierung, mit Hilfe der Peakflächen wird quantifiziert. Mit diesem Autoanalyzersystem sind Phosphonsäurebestimmungen je nach Spezies ab ca. 1 μg möglich, aufgrund der hohen Empfindlichkeit und des automatischen Analysenablaufs ist das System insbesondere zur Durchführung von Serienanalysen im Spurenbereich geeignet.
